I am not very good at this blogging thing but I am working on it.
To date I have started a strip quilt. I started with 10 inch square freezer paper blocks. I used a grey bandana fabric and cut it into 10 squares then cut half square triangles. I used this fabric for half the square then added the strips on the diagonal to complete the 10 inches. What a mess. First I didn't know so didn't stager my strips and freezer paper was not the best to use because it sticks when you press it and is not easy to tear off. Nothing seem to work out on this quilt but alas I am getting it finished one struggle at a time. This was a great quilt to get started and finished. It taught me alot about fabric and piecing. The most important thing I did learn was to Pin Pin Pin!! I haven't sandwiched it yet. I'm going to try a basting spray so I have been doing my research and I am just going to stitch in the ditch because I have done that it the past. I have my walking foot and plan on using it to get this done. I think when all is said and done I my post it here, If I can figure that out hahahahaha!! It has to be easier than what I went through with this quilt but I would not trade the lessons I have learned ....Sooooo onward and upward I say!!
