I started my granddaughter's quilt and was off to the races and I hit a brick wall. First of all I used 5 charm packs and there was nothing good about them. Then I miscalculated the fabric and have only half or a little more done on the quilt. I am not a happy camper!!
The charms packs were all different sizes, different weight of fabric and those that were 5 inches were cut crooked. I thought it was just the 1 so I decided to carry on well I should have stopped at two, but my stubbornness would not allow me. I got it all worked out and was working away but I now have to figure out how to complete the quilt with different fabrics. It was done it batiks and I refuse to buy more from that company.
I live in a rural area and they don't carry much in the way of availability of pre-cuts. I have to travel half way to the city to find anything if not into the city. I do have some patchworks left to pull my patchwork and whatever I decide on finishing it with together but I had to set it aside as I was getting frustrated. I won't go down in defeat, my granddaughter will have her quilt for Christmas if its the last thing I do!!!
